Today we flew from San Francisco to the lovely Los Angeles, after a long few hours of delays in the airport. We're staying at the pretty cool Magic Castle Hotel, continently located next to the Magic Castle where I will be able to fulfill my dreams of being any character from Harry Potter (with a Disney twist).
We also saw the extremely talented Lewis Watson play at the Bardot, who captivated the whole room with laidback and honest songs.
My darling friend Jenny also managed to get a photo with him after before we had to rush off!

Day three
After such a busy day yesterday, we had a quiet morning with breakfast in the Regency Club which had an amazing view.
Then more shopping and a beautiful lunch at the W hotel before the Superbowl. It was pretty. It was cool to be in San Francisco while the 49'ers were in the big match, in the morning the city was a sea of dead, but as soon as the game started, it was dead.
I also got to walk through the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, which left me speechless. The scale of the exhibitions and installations are nothing like we have back at home, they were a whole other level of impressive and conceptual ideas.
While walking through the permanent collection if the gallery, I came to the realization that in 59 years I will probably be like the old lady in the last photo, just hanging around museums because I have nothing else to do with my time. But hey, that sounds pretty awesome!
We caught the end of the game at Pier 39, sadly the 49'ers lost :( but we got to see the sea lions and had some clam chowder!

Day two!
Our first real day in San Francisco and boy it was a big one!
We spent the morning in Chinatown for the chinese new year festivities, before moving onto see the San Francisco Symphony perform a special New Year program at the symphony hall! It was such an amazing performance to see traditional Asian instruments, incorporated a full orchestra performance was breathtaking.
After we went to The Spinnaker in Sausalito for dinner which had an beautiful view of the entire San Francisco city all lit up at night. We then went and explored the city which I have a heap of photos to post when I can get to a computer!

America, you are beautiful.
This morning marked the first day of my long awaited trip to America, and it did not disappoint.
After 14 hours of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' and very little sleep we finally arrived in LAX! Never have I been more excited to untangle the mess of limbs I had folded myself into to fit into my very small seat.
After a quick flight to San Francisco, we checked into the most beautiful hotel and got settled. Then it was business time as we managed to fit in a good 5 hours of shopping before the jet lag hit us. When most people talk about jet lag, and beating it, they'll recommend sleeping on the plane and trying to adjust to the new sleep schedule, not staying awake for 30 hours until you pass out. But hey, whatever works!
I also had my first meal here, which was a side of fries (expecting it to be a small plate, like you might find in Australia) but not, it was the size of a dinner plate, and full to the brim!
Anyway, so far America has been amazing, the people are lovely and it's been great to see my family over here.
Can't wait for more adventures!
